"Let the little children come to me and forbid them not." said Jesus, "of such shall my kingdom be."

Since 1968, Trinity Lutheran Church has offered three and four year old preschool programs. We are happy to announce that we will also be offering a 2-year-old preschool program starting in the fall of 2010. All of our programs here at Trinity Christian Nursery School center around basic Christian concepts and giving your child the tools to succeed in school.

THE PURPOSE is to aid parents in early childhood education that provides positive Christian learning and social experiences. Trinity Christian Preschool's curriculum centers around basic Christian concepts. First, God created the world. This is taught by exploration of nature and the realization that nature is a gift of God. Secondly, Jesus is our Savior. This is taught by learning about the life and death of Jesus and other familiar Bible stories.

WHAT DO CHILDREN LEARN IN PRESHOOL?
Young children learn wherever they are, but if their learning is to benefit them to the utmost, they need space, equipment and materials to test their growing powers. Also, they need warm acceptance and understanding of their abilities. They can find these in a good preschool. In our school they learn the security of a regular routine, and to respect and follow this routine.

Within this routine they have freedom; the freedom to be themselves, to dramatize, to build, to concentrate, to joke, to mimc, to create, to love and to pray.
Language, and listening skills are developed through the use of books, music, songs, games and finger plays. Students begin to know themselves better as children of God who can listen, respect, build, create, love and bring joy to their home from their own private experience.
Students learn about and build a concept of God, the loving Father, and the love and forgiveness shown us through Christ; thereby reflecting his love to others. They learn some of God's words, respect for the Bible and have weekly visits to Chapel.
Every increment of growth contributes to the child's readiness for the next step forward. Children who have had rich and satisfying experiences in preschool, go on to Kindergarten liking school and looking forward to new situations.
