Trinity Lutheran Church

There are opportunities at Trinity for anyone to sing or play instruments, whether as a soloist or in an ensemble. For more information, please contact Mary Stahlke at 708-522-1271.
Rehearses every Thursday (8:00 - 9:00pm) in the Music Room. This choir leads the congregation in worship and helps them learn new music. They sing approximately every other week and for many of the major feast days of the church year. An ability to read music is not necessary.
Bells of Praise
Rehearses every () in the balcony of the sanctuary. This hand bell ensemble plays approximately once a month and for many major feast days of the church year. If you can count to four, you can play hand bells!
Voices of Praise
This group for more contemporary/folk music rehearses on Thursdays from . They perform every four weeks, usually the last weekend of the month at the worship service. Members of this ensemble can come and go from month to month; rehearsals in a given month are only for the performance on the fourth weekend of that month.
Singers and instrumentalists can perform as soloists or with a small ensemble, with rehearsals scheduled on an individual basis.

A portion of the confirmation training on Wednesdays for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders is devoted to worship and music, including instruction in chimes and bells. The Confirmation Ringers participate in worship services and other events approximately four times per year.
Any singer or instrumentalist from 6th to 12th grade can perform as a soloist or in a small ensemble. Rehearsals are scheduled on an individual basis. Please contact Mary Stahlke at 708-771-7842.
Junior High Music
School students in 6th through 8th grades are the leaders of Trinity's Children’s Christmas program. This music group not only sings for this event, but provides much of the acting. In the spring, the 6th, 7th, and 8th graders learn about liturgy and hymns, and sing for the Ascension service in May.
This ensemble of elementary-school-age children rehearses on Sundays in the music room during the School hour. Children from second to fifth grades are welcome, and they sing for the Children’s Christmas program in December and for the Ascension service in May.
This choir for our youngest singers rehearses during the School hour . They are joined in the Children’s Christmas Program by children from the Trinity Church Nursery School, who practice on weekdays during their school day. The Cherub Choir also sings for the Ascension service in May.
